AdventHealth East Orlando names Caitlin Lewis as CEO, effective Feb. 2, 2026

Leadership change scheduled for early February

AdventHealth has appointed Caitlin Lewis as chief executive officer of AdventHealth East Orlando, with the leadership transition set to take effect on Feb. 2, 2026. The appointment places Lewis in charge of operations at one of the health system’s key hospital campuses serving east Orange County, along with affiliated emergency care sites that extend the campus’ footprint in the region.

The selection comes amid a period of frequent executive movement across AdventHealth’s Central Florida markets as the health system adjusts leadership assignments across multiple campuses. Recent appointments have included CEO changes at other area facilities, reflecting a broader rotation of executive leadership within the organization’s Florida operations.

AdventHealth East Orlando has undergone several leadership changes in the past three years. In April 2023, Chase Tikker was named CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando, effective April 9, 2023. In July 2025, the health system announced Tikker would move to a new role as president and CEO of AdventHealth Lake Nona, effective Aug. 10, 2025.

Later in 2025, AdventHealth announced that Michael Mewhirter would become CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando. Mewhirter was identified as having oversight of the East Orlando campus, including the offsite AdventHealth Waterford Lakes ER and AdventHealth Lake Nona ER. In January 2026, AdventHealth announced Mewhirter would transition to become CEO of AdventHealth Celebration, also effective Feb. 2, 2026.
